Events

The Rhoynar flee Sothoryos · Yeen, long before

Fleeing Valyria, Princess Nymeria led her ten thousand ships first to the Basilisk Isles and then to Sothoryos. They settled at Zamettar and in the black ruins of Yeen – and sickness, beasts and the Brindled Men drove them out within a year, until at last they sailed for Dorne.

The Doom of Valyria · Old Valyria, ~100 years BC

A cataclysm of fire tears the Valyrian peninsula apart and destroys the Freehold in a single day. The Targaryens, warned by a prophetic dream, had already moved to Dragonstone.

The Century of Blood · Volantis, after the Doom

Volantis tries to make itself heir of Valyria and conquer the other Free Cities. Braavos, Pentos and others resist until the Volantenes are beaten back.
